The city of Oakhaven, once a beacon of prosperity and innovation, now teetered on the brink of collapse. The Arcane Rot, a pathogenic magical phenomenon, had taken its toll on the city’s infrastructure, causing a 34% increase in structural decay within the last lunar cycle. It was amidst this backdrop of desperation and decay that the lives of four individuals - Kaelen, the Fallen Paladin; Mira, the Technomantic Saboteur; Silas, the Disgraced Archivist; and Vex, the Kineticist - converged.

Kaelen’s fractured blade, a symbol of his downfall, seemed to absorb the localized mana rot, while Mira’s eyes gleamed with a mix of desperation and determination. Silas, with his internal cognitive map of Oakhaven’s pre-Rot infrastructure, observed his companions with a calculating gaze, and Vex, ever the wild card, seemed to be sizing them up as potential allies or adversaries.
