Xiaomi 15T Review: Flagship Killer 2026 Edition
Price last updated: Feb 1, 2026
Where to Buy
Pros
- ✓ Dimensity 8400 Ultra is a performance monster (Antutu 1.8M+)
- ✓ 144Hz CRYSTALRES AMOLED flat display (2800 nits peak!)
- ✓ Leica-tuned 50MP main camera rivals the Pixel 9
- ✓ 67W charging included in the box (0-100% in 38 mins)
- ✓ IP68 water resistance finally standard on the T-series
Cons
- ✗ Plastic frame feels slightly cheap compared to glass/metal rivals
- ✗ HyperOS still has bloatware ads you need to disable manually
- ✗ Selfie camera is oddly soft in low light
- ✗ No wireless charging (reserved for 15T Pro)
Verdict: If you want raw speed and a great screen without paying €1000, buy this immediately.
Overview
Historically, the “T” series meant “Top Specs, Cheap Build.” The Xiaomi 15T changes the formula. It keeps the plastic frame but adds IP68 water resistance and a screen that matches the Galaxy S26+.
Performance: MediaTek Magic
Running on the Dimensity 8400 Ultra, it trades blows with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for €300 less.
- Benchmarks: It scores 1.8 Million on Antutu v11.
- Gaming: Genshin Impact runs at 60fps High for 45 minutes before thermally throttling slightly. The vapor chamber works.
- Efficiency: Battery drain during standby is minimal.
Display: 144Hz Speed
Most flagships are 120Hz. The 15T is 144Hz.
- Scrolling: It feels impossibly fluid. Animations are instant.
- Brightness: 2800 nits peak (outdoor mode). You can read notifications on the beach without squinting.
- Colors: 12-bit depth. Dolby Vision content on Netflix looks incredible.
Camera: Leica Partnership
This isn’t just a filter. The lens coatings reduce glare significantly.
- Main (50MP): Sony IMX906 sensor. Images are sharp, with slightly boosted saturation (Typical Xiaomi) but excellent dynamic range.
- Telephoto (50MP): 2x Optical Zoom. Good for portraits, but falls apart past 10x.
- Ultrawide (12MP): Serviceable, but clearly weaker than the main lens.
Battery & Charging
- 5500mAh: This is huge. Even with 144Hz on, I got 7-8 hours Screen-On Time.
- 67W Charging: Included brick. 0-50% in 15 minutes. 0-100% in 38 minutes. Note: The Pro model does 120W, but 67W is plenty fast for most.
Software: HyperOS 2.0
It’s cleaner than MIUI, but still has ads in the File Manager app by default. You can turn them off, but it’s annoying for a €650 device. Updates are guaranteed for 4 years of OS (Android 15 -> 19).
Final Verdict
The Xiaomi 15T is the spiritual successor to the OnePlus 7 Pro. It creates a category of “Premium Mid-Range” that honestly makes you question why anyone spends €1000 on a phone anymore.
